Special Presentation for Memorial Day – Nate Krick
Sermon: “Freedom” – 2 Corinthians 3:17 – Pastor Mark Rogers
A Word from Our Bulletin:
Memorial Day is a time set aside to remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our country. We pause to reflect on the cost of the freedoms we often take for granted, recognizing that such liberty has been secured through great sacrifice.
As we remember the fallen, we are reminded of the words of Jesus: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13).
While we honor these heroes, Memorial Day can also turn our hearts toward God, the giver of every good gift. True freedom is not only found in a nation, but in Christ, who gave His life so that we might be forgiven and reconciled to Him. The sacrifice of our soldiers points us to the ultimate sacrifice made on the cross – a love that secures eternal hope.
Let this day be more than remembrance; let it be a moment of gratitude and reflection. Pray for the families who carry the weight of loss, for our nation, and for hearts to turn toward the Lord. May we live in a way that honors both the sacrifices made for our freedom and the Savior who gives us life everlasting.
Thank you for watching and joining together in worship.
May you all be blessed,
Pastor Mark Rogers
