Sermon: “A Working Faith” – James 2:14-26 – Pastor Mark Rogers
A Word from Our Bulletin:
A Faith That Can Be Seen
Genuine faith is more than something we profess with our lips; it becomes visible in the way we live. The gospel does not simply change what we believe—it begins to change who we are.
Good works do not earn our salvation or make us acceptable to God. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Yet when Christ takes hold of a life, there will be evidence.
Compassion begins to replace indifference. Obedience follows belief. Love becomes more than words. Our priorities change as we learn to seek God’s will above our own.
The question, then, is not simply, “What do I believe?” but, “What does my life reveal about what I believe?”
Faith is demonstrated in everyday choices—in how we treat others, respond to needs, forgive, serve, and follow Christ even when obedience is costly.
True faith is living faith, and living faith bears fruit. Our works are not the root of our salvation; they are the fruit of a life transformed by Christ.
