Sermon: “Hope Beyond the Grave” – John 11:1-22 – Pastor Mark Rogers

A Word From Our Bulletin:

There are seasons in life when sorrow settles in and refuses to leave quickly. We pray, we hope, we ask God to intervene—and yet things remain unchanged. In those moments, it is easy to wonder where He is, or why He has not answered as we expected.

But perhaps this is where He is inviting us closer.

God does not turn away from our grief. He meets us in it. He sees every tear, knows every question, and understands the quiet ache of a waiting heart. He does not ask us to have everything figured out—only to come to Him, just as we are.

You may be standing today in a place that feels final. A loss that cannot be undone, a burden that feels too heavy, a situation that seems without hope. But what if this is not the end of the story? What if God, in His mercy, is working beyond what you can see?

He invites you to trust Him—not because the path is clear, but because He is faithful. He invites you to bring your sorrow, your questions, and even your doubts, and place them in His hands.

There is a hope that goes deeper than circumstances, stronger than grief, and greater than the grave itself. It is a hope found in Him.

Come to Him today. Trust Him in the waiting. And discover that even here, hope is alive.
