Sermon: “The Next Triumphant Entry” – Revelation 19:11-21 – Pastor Mark Rogers
A Word From Our Bulletin:
The Christian gospel is not only concerned with what Christ has accomplished in the past, but also with what He will accomplish in the future. We look back with gratitude to His saving work, yet we also look forward with confidence to His final victory.
History is moving toward a definite goal. It is neither cyclical nor without direction. Instead, it is under the sovereign control of God and will reach its climax in the triumph of Jesus Christ. The One who came in humility will be revealed in glory, and His authority will be fully established.
This future hope gives meaning to the present. In a world where evil often appears strong and justice delayed, we are assured that wrong will not ultimately prevail. Christ’s victory is certain, and all things will one day be set right under His rule.
Such a hope is not intended to lead us into speculation, but into faithful living. We are called to live as those who belong to Christ’s kingdom now seeking to reflect His character, obey His commands, and bear witness to His truth in the world.
Our confidence rests not in human progress or effort, but in the promise of God. Because Christ will reign, our labor in His name is not in vain. Because He will be revealed, we are to live in readiness and expectation.
The future belongs to Jesus Christ. Therefore, our present must belong to Him as well.
